Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU Travel Assignment in Tacoma, WA
Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist needed for a NICU travel assignment in Tacoma, Washington. Join a high-acuity pediatric and neonatal care team in the Pacific Northwest and provide critical respiratory support for complex newborn cases in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment.

- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240 - $2,400
- EMR: EPIC
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III-IV NICU
- Current BLS certification
- NRP certification
- Active Washington state Respiratory Therapist license
- Experience with ventilator support required
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude
- Prior travel respiratory therapy experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients in a high-acuity NICU setting
- Manage ventilators and deliver advanced respiratory support for critically ill newborns
- Assist with NCPAP, airway support, and other advanced NICU respiratory interventions
- Support patients with trachs, g-tubes, NG/OG tubes, UAC/UVC management, and PICC lines
- Participate in medication administration, care planning, and discharge-to-home preparation
- Care for a patient population that may include prematurity, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate patient care
- Float occasionally as needed in rare situations
