Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Boston, MA (02118). 13-week contract in a Level 1 trauma center providing critical care respiratory therapy in MICU and SICU.

Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,760 – $1,890
- Location: Boston, MA 02118 — Boston respiratory therapy jobs in the medical district
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/1/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (PM), 36 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Setting: Inpatient, Level 1 Trauma Facility (MICU & SICU)
- Number of Positions: 2
Required Qualifications — Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- RRT certification required (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- Massachusetts Respiratory Care license required
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
- Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU (critical care respiratory therapist)
- Familiarity with lung-protective ventilation strategies and advanced ventilator management
- Experience participating on Code Blue teams
- Ability to make ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BLS required
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Preferred: Experience with Level III NICU, Drager XL and v500 ventilators
- Preferred Certifications: NPS and/or ACCS
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care and ventilator management to critically ill MICU and SICU patients
- Participate actively in Code Blue response teams and other emergency procedures
- Assess patients, interpret clinical and laboratory data, and adjust ventilator settings accordingly
- Document assessments, interventions, and care plans in EPIC to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and respiratory care best practices
