Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Active Respiratory Therapist license required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • BLS certification required
  • NBRC verification required
  • Critical care, Level 1 trauma, and teaching hospital experience required
  • Strong experience with adult ICU, neuro, medical, cardiac, and surgical patient populations
  • Advanced ventilator management experience required
  • Must be comfortable working on-call as needed
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult critical care and Emergency Department patients
  • Manage advanced ventilator settings and interpret respiratory data to support patient care
  • Support clinical decision-making using esophageal balloons, PV loop interpretations, driving pressure assessment, and best PEEP strategies
  • Work with multiple ventilator platforms in a busy acute care hospital environment
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Respond to the demands of a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Participate in call coverage, weekend rotations, and holiday coverage as scheduled
