Job Requirements – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• At least 1 year of recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience (ICU/acute care experience preferred)
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities – Hospital Respiratory Therapist

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory care and therapy in the hospital setting
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory treatments and interventions, including oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator settings for adult patients as indicated
• Perform ventilator checks, arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation, and adjust care plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams in critical care and floor settings
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the medical chart/EMR
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and infection control practices
• Provide patient and family education related to pulmonary care and discharge planning
