• Setting: Level IV NICU & PICU (neonatal respiratory therapist, pediatric respiratory therapist)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 04/19/2026
• Shifts: 12-hour nights, three shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend / Holiday: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; possible holiday coverage as scheduled
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990 – $2,140

Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PICU and/or Level III+ NICU (neonatal/pediatric critical care)
• Experience with pediatric and neonatal patient populations and ventilator management
• Ability to assist with intubations (independent intubation not required)
• Familiarity with Hamilton and Servo ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow systems
• EPIC charting experience preferred (hospital respiratory therapy documentation)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in the Level IV NICU and PICU
• Administer treatments including aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, and advanced airway management
• Support procedural airway care and assist with intubations as needed
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilation (Hamilton, Servo), BiPAP, and high-flow devices
• Assist with intrahospital transport of critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with neonatologists, PICU physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in preference scheduling and maintain required weekend/holiday coverage
• Complete department-specific orientation and adhere to dress code (stone/light gray scrubs)
