Job Details
- Setting: Hospital sleep lab / acute care environment
- Location: Artesia, New Mexico
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: 3x12s with every-other-week coverage and select weekday sleep-study shifts
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,880
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- End Date: 11/30/2026
- Patient Population: Adults and pediatrics ages 3+
- Orientation: Up to 2 weeks of orientation on nights
- Travel-Friendly: First-time travelers are welcome
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of sleep lab experience required
- Graduation from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography
- Current New Mexico licensure/certification in an approved polysomnography pathway
- BLS certification required
- RPSGT certification preferred/accepted
- Basic computer skills and comfort with sleep lab technology
- Ability to work overnight shifts and remain attentive in a monitored patient-care setting
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies and complete proper setup for polysomnography testing
- Monitor and perform prescribed sleep studies under physician direction
- Record and measure electrical potentials and other physiologic events
- Maintain recording devices and support equipment readiness
- Analyze study data and prepare reports for clinical review
- Recognize and appropriately respond to critical events during testing
- Assist with home sleep setup when needed
- Participate in monthly quality and reliability checks
