Job Details

  • Setting: Hospital sleep lab / acute care environment
  • Location: Artesia, New Mexico
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM–7:00 AM
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: 3x12s with every-other-week coverage and select weekday sleep-study shifts
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,880
  • Start Date: 8/31/2026
  • End Date: 11/30/2026
  • Patient Population: Adults and pediatrics ages 3+
  • Orientation: Up to 2 weeks of orientation on nights
  • Travel-Friendly: First-time travelers are welcome

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of sleep lab experience required
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography
  • Current New Mexico licensure/certification in an approved polysomnography pathway
  • BLS certification required
  • RPSGT certification preferred/accepted
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with sleep lab technology
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and remain attentive in a monitored patient-care setting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies and complete proper setup for polysomnography testing
  • Monitor and perform prescribed sleep studies under physician direction
  • Record and measure electrical potentials and other physiologic events
  • Maintain recording devices and support equipment readiness
  • Analyze study data and prepare reports for clinical review
  • Recognize and appropriately respond to critical events during testing
  • Assist with home sleep setup when needed
  • Participate in monthly quality and reliability checks
