  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 8-hour day shifts (includes weekends/holidays as needed)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 – $2,150
  • Charting System: EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)

SLP Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (acute care SLP experience required)
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Speech, Hearing Science, and Language Development and Disorders (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license (clinical level) — Washington SLP license required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Experience with EPIC charting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders in an acute care hospital setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and timely progress notes
  • Perform bedside evaluations, instrumental assessments as indicated, and dysphagia management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, OT/PT, nutrition) for comprehensive care and discharge planning
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, compensatory strategies, and post-discharge recommendations
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress accurately and timely in EPIC
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and state/federal regulations
