• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,540 - $1,650
• Setting: Hospital – Sterile Processing Department (Central Sterile / SPD)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Contract)
• Start Date: April 24, 2026
• End Date: July 24, 2026
• Shift: Evening shift, Monday–Friday with one weekend per 4-week schedule
• Hours: 40 hours per week (32 hours guaranteed)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Central Sterile Technician
• CBSPD or HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) certification required
• Ability to start within 2 weeks of requested start date
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to infection control and patient safety
• Experience with surgical instrument processing, sterilization cycles, tray assembly, and inventory management

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and equipment following hospital SPD protocols
• Operate sterilization equipment (steam, EO, low-temp systems) and document sterilization cycles to ensure sterility assurance
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, instrument logs, and inventory control
• Support surgical teams by ensuring timely assembly and delivery of sterile supplies and instrument sets
• Follow infection control standards, regulatory guidelines, and hospital policies for central sterile processing
• Collaborate with perioperative staff, OR teams, and other departments to maintain efficient workflow and patient safety
