Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,860
• Location: Vail, CO 81657 – Vail, Colorado travel healthcare job in a resort community near Eagle County
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3 shifts per week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week

Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) program and/or current Licensed Surgical Technologist credential
• Valid Surgical Technologist license in the state of Colorado (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room (OR) or perioperative setting
• Familiarity with sterile processing, instrumentation, and perioperative protocols
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Computer skills to complete online training and compliance requirements

Key Responsibilities – Surgical Tech / OR Tech

• Assist during surgical procedures, maintaining the integrity of the sterile field and providing timely instrumentation and supplies
• Apply expertise in aseptic technique, human anatomy, and surgical procedures as a core OR team member
• Prepare, package, and ensure integrity of sterile items and equipment; support sterile processing workflow
• Monitor the sterile field and initiate corrective actions to maintain patient safety
• Participate in patient transports, operating room turnovers, and room preparation between cases
• Clean, inspect, and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization and post-operative processing
• Communicate effectively and promptly with surgeons, perioperative nurses, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team; participate in briefings and debriefings
• Stay current with new instrumentation, OR technology, and surgical procedures to support continuous quality improvement
• Provide care to patients across the lifespan (neonatal through geriatric) while adhering to HIPAA and facility safety standards
