Travel Ultrasound Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950–$2,100
- Location: Spokane, Washington
- Specialty: Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonography and High-Risk Obstetric Imaging
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Assignment Length: 26 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Work Setting: On-site outpatient maternal-fetal medicine services
- Call and Weekends: No regular call, night, or weekend shifts
- Patient Population: Adolescents and adults receiving high-risk obstetric care
Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of diagnostic medical sonography experience, including maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics
- ARDMS certification with an OB/GYN credential required
- Nuchal translucency certification required
- Current BLS certification
- Strong OB/GYN ultrasound and outpatient imaging experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with fetal echocardiography
- Experience using Epic and PACS for clinical documentation and medical image management
- Competency in detailed first-, second-, and third-trimester ultrasound examinations
- Valid Washington State license or applicable compact credential in hand before the assignment start date
- Ability to float within scope of practice to nearby affiliated locations as needed
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer Responsibilities
- Perform approximately 7–9 detailed ultrasound examinations per day
- Complete comprehensive fetal anatomical surveys and high-risk obstetric ultrasound studies
- Perform fetal echocardiograms and evaluate fetal anatomy, growth, fluid levels, placenta, uterus, ovaries, and umbilical cord Doppler findings
- Conduct nuchal translucency screenings and transvaginal ultrasound examinations
- Assist maternal-fetal medicine physicians with amniocentesis, amnioreduction, chorionic villus sampling, and PUBS procedures
- Accurately document imaging findings and manage ultrasound images in Epic and PACS
- Communicate pertinent diagnostic imaging findings to maternal-fetal medicine physicians
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing complex maternal or fetal conditions
- Maintain high standards for image quality, patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical documentation
