Job Requirements

  • At least 6 months of related ultrasound experience required
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Credential as RDCS or RVT through ARDMS, or RCS or RVS through CCI required
  • BLS certification required
  • Ability to work independently and use strong critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare staff
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation after regular business hours
  • Vascular ultrasound skills required
  • Graduate of a diagnostic medical ultrasound or cardiac ultrasound program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced cardiac and/or peripheral vascular ultrasound procedures with accuracy and efficiency
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic images and provide preliminary feedback on critical findings when needed
  • Support complex procedures in the OR, hybrid lab, cath lab, and cardiac diagnostic settings
  • Assist with studies related to advanced structural heart and vascular interventions
  • Review patient data before procedures and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal recordings
  • Notify reading physicians of abnormal results and document findings thoroughly and accurately
  • Maintain complete procedural documentation, charging data, and patient chart entries
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency by anticipating equipment and supply needs
  • Participate in quality assurance, educational activities, and accreditation processes
  • Maintain competency, compliance, infection control, confidentiality, and patient safety standards
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team while supporting a clean, organized work environment
