Overview: We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens physician opportunity in Hobbs, New Mexico. Job Requirements
- Active physician license required
- DEA certification required
- Board certified or truly board eligible within 3-5 years of residency
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant physician experience preferred/required
- BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ATLS required
- Current CV required for submission
- Ability to begin privileging promptly and complete application turnaround within one week of receipt
- Strong pediatric inpatient medicine and procedural skill set
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage with call-only support
- Evaluate, manage, and follow pediatric patients during daily inpatient care
- Respond to 24-hour beeper call coverage as scheduled
- Perform and support essential pediatric procedures as needed, including intubation, central line placement, and lumbar puncture
- Manage pediatric ventilation support and non-invasive ventilation as required
- Interpret EKGs and support x-ray review when clinically indicated
- Complete circumcision procedures when appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient-centered care
