Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Bowling Green, Kentucky

- Setting: 16-bed intensive care unit with a 2:1 patient ratio, occasionally 3:1
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Floating: May float in rotation with core staffing
ICU Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a high-acuity environment
- Experience with ICU equipment and procedures such as hemodynamic monitoring, Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, central line insertions, and dialysis catheter insertions preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
- Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
- Perform and assist with critical care procedures as needed
- Accurately document care and patient assessments in the electronic medical record
- Support a positive, team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent clinical standards
- Adapt to unit needs, including rotating coverage with core staff when floating is required
