Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Laconia, New Hampshire
- Position Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse contract
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990–$2,100
- Schedule: 36 hours per week with a 36-hour guarantee
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; weekdays with every other weekend
- Healthcare Setting: On-site ICU/Medical ICU with floating to additional inpatient and emergency care areas as needed
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or a compact state at the time of submission
- At least 2 years of recent ICU or Medical ICU nursing experience; exceptionally strong candidates with approximately 2 years may be considered
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize rapidly changing patient needs, and provide care across a variety of acuity levels
- Comfort floating to stepdown, emergency department, and medical-surgical assignments with modified responsibilities
- Current nursing certifications and license verification required before assignment
- Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with ICU and stepdown care preferred
Travel ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and Medical ICU
- Monitor complex patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and initiate timely interventions
- Safely manage and care for patients requiring balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella support, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management
- Operate and manage equipment including Alaris pumps and rapid infusers according to established protocols
- Float to stepdown, emergency department, and medical-surgical units while adapting care to the assigned patient population
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment plans and promote positive patient outcomes
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
- Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient critical care nursing in a fast-paced environment
