ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Assignment in Norfolk, Virginia

Travel Nursing Job Details

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Virginia
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including ICU or critical care experience
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill patients
- Availability to work the required 12-hour night-shift schedule
- Ability to complete applicable onboarding, credentialing, and facility requirements
Travel ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and established protocols
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and other clinical indicators
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant critical care environment
