ICU Travel Nurse (Registered Nurse/RN) – 13-Week Contract in Salt Lake City, Utah

ICU Travel Nursing Job Details
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680–$1,770
- Schedule: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Assignment End Date: January 11, 2027
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Unit: 24-bed ICU
- Documentation: Epic
- Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts within each four-week period
- Floating: PCU or inpatient sitter assignments as needed

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Utah
- At least 2 years of recent ICU experience; candidates with 1 year of strong ICU experience may be considered
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong clinical knowledge of ventilator management, vasopressors, arterial lines, and restraint use
- Ability to care for high-acuity patients, including those requiring IABP, CRRT, or open-heart recovery support
- Adaptability to float to the PCU or serve as an inpatient sitter when needed
- Outgoing, dependable, and team-oriented communication style
- Caribbean blue scrubs required
ICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, vasopressors, arterial lines, and other advanced critical care therapies
- Assist with or perform rapid sequence intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopy, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement according to scope, competency, and unit policy
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to clinical deterioration
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
- Support safe patient transitions and float assignments while maintaining high standards of care
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused care environment
