• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse, Night Shift
• Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) — Ohio travel nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (critical care / telemetry)
• Unit: Cardiac Medical ICU / CCU (CC98070 | 2 Ross CCU / ACU)
• Float: May be required to float to other units within the organization
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU / critical care experience (cardiac ICU preferred)
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system required
• Valid RN compact license or Ohio RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Clinical skills: proficient in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support and advanced devices (IABP, Impella, CRRT) strongly preferred
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients with cardiac and complex medical needs, including ACS, acute MI, cardiogenic shock, post-interventional cardiac procedures, and decompensating heart failure
• Manage advanced equipment: IABP, Impella, CRRT, ventilators, arterial lines, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and cardiac drips (vasoactive infusions)
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and procedural sedation according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, rapid response, and physicians—to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain strict infection prevention, isolation precautions, and patient safety standards
• Float to other units within the OSU organization as needed while maintaining critical care standards
