  • Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a); every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Travel Nurse Requirements

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI only)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
  • CPI certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle protected health information (PHI) with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy required; experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan: pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • TNCC and ENA certification recommended within 2 years of hire

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to patients in a Level 2 ICU
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care across the lifespan
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and allied health) to optimize patient outcomes
  • Perform accurate and timely EMR documentation to support continuity of care
  • Participate in on-call rotations, weekends, and holiday coverage as scheduled
  • Maintain patient safety, dignity, and respect while following infection control and safety protocols
  • Provide education and support to patients and families and contribute to a professional, healing environment
