Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
- Current RN license or eligibility to practice in Connecticut
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma environment preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity critical care setting
- Comfortable working night shifts and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and therapies according to clinical protocols
- Support ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and other intensive care interventions
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
- Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the broader care team to support excellent patient outcomes
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment
