Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for the assignment location
- Compact RN license in hand at submission, if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of infusion nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with infusion center workflows, IV starts, and central line care
- Skilled in port access and management, PICC line care, and infusion pump management
- Ability to administer blood products, antibiotics, hydration, steroids, and specialty medications
- Comfortable managing infusion reactions and providing emergency treatment when needed
- REMS training may be provided for Tysabri administration if needed
- Two professional references covering the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate infusion nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
- Start and maintain IVs and administer ordered medications and fluids
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond promptly to adverse reactions
- Deliver care for complex diagnoses including oncology, MS, GI, neuro, transplant, and obstetric-related needs
- Manage ports, PICC lines, and central lines with strong attention to detail
- Support blood and blood product administration in accordance with clinical protocols
- Maintain infection control standards and follow all safety procedures
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Contribute to a positive patient experience in a busy outpatient setting
- Float as needed within nearby sister facilities when required by the assignment
