Job Details

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 – Central New York nursing job; close to the Adirondacks, parks, and cultural attractions.
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse)
• Unit: Outpatient Infusion Clinic – Oncology, Neurology, Anemia, GI, and specialty infusions (Oncology RN / Infusion RN)
• Assignment Dates: May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026 (13 weeks)
• Shift: Rotating 8-hour shifts, primarily 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,450 – $2,580
• Number of Openings: 2

Required Qualifications – Infusion RN / Oncology RN

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license meeting New York state requirements
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in outpatient infusion or ambulatory infusion clinics
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required (ONS or state-recognized)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometer devices
• Clinical experience with Alaris and elastomeric infusion pumps and IV therapy

Key Responsibilities – Infusion and Chemotherapy Administration

• Administer chemotherapy, biologics, and a range of infusion therapies safely to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions and provide timely nursing interventions
• Document assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans in EPIC EHR
• Safely program and operate infusion equipment including Alaris and elastomeric pumps
• Prepare and administer blood products per protocol when indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, oncology pharmacists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Float within the outpatient infusion unit as needed to support clinic flow and patient throughput
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced outpatient setting
