- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shifts, 5 x 8-hour shifts
- Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Coverage: 3 weekend days per 6-week schedule
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 - $1,700
- Charting System: Epic preferred
- Type: Travel physical therapy assignment
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient physical therapy experience
- Active Kansas PT license required
- BLS certification required
- Experience treating adult and geriatric patients
- Strong clinical judgment in acute care and rehabilitation environments
- Epic experience preferred
- Open to first-time travelers
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in the ED, ortho/spine unit, rehab unit, telemetry unit, and med-surg unit
- Develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
- Support recovery for orthopedic, neurologic, spine, and general medical diagnoses
- Provide skilled therapy for THA, TKA, TSA, hip fractures, CVA, Parkinson's disease, spinal surgeries, amputations, and CABG recovery
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including gait training, strengthening, mobility training, and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on safe mobility, home exercise programs, and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
