Physical Therapist Assistant Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,040-$1,120
• Location: Lakewood, Colorado, near Denver
• Healthcare Setting: Home health rehabilitation
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• End Date: February 28, 2027
• Contract Duration: Approximately 16 weeks
• Engagement: Contract-to-hire opportunity
• Productivity Expectation: 30 points per week

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or authorization to practice in Colorado
• At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), preferably in home health or rehabilitation
• Ability to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills
• Ability to complete timely and accurate clinical, electronic health record, and billing documentation
• Commitment to patient confidentiality, professional conduct, and applicable healthcare regulatory standards
• Ability to meet the expected productivity standard and work the designated Monday-Friday schedule

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative care in accordance with each patient’s individualized Plan of Treatment
• Implement therapeutic interventions and activities prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the healthcare team
• Support the selection and use of adaptive equipment to promote patient safety, mobility, and functional independence
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other members of the care team to coordinate rehabilitation services and follow-up needs
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with APTA and applicable regulatory standards
• Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and maintain a high standard of patient-centered physical therapy care
• Complete billing-related documentation accurately and within required timeframes
