Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Certification: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Experience: No minimum years of PTA experience required; all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply
• Clinical Skills: Therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, safe transfers, and accurate clinical documentation
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong patient communication and ability to collaborate with Physical Therapists, nursing, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Focused On: Patient-centered care, quality outcomes, and safe, evidence-based rehab interventions

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA treatment interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in an inpatient hospital rehabilitation setting
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility per the patient’s plan of care
• Monitor patient response to treatment and promptly communicate changes in status to the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on mobility strategies, fall prevention, safety, and home exercise program carryover
• Accurately document treatments, progress, and tolerance in accordance with facility standards and department procedures
• Support a positive, patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and compassionate care
