Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology, Santa Monica, California

Travel RN opportunity in Santa Monica, CA for an experienced Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology or procedural care experience. Join a collaborative acute care team in Southern California and provide high-quality, hands-on patient care for adults and geriatrics in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand; compact license accepted at submission
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Prior Interventional Radiology or procedural area experience preferred
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Comfortable with call, every other weekend coverage, and a structured travel nurse schedule
  • Strong clinical skills in procedural care, sedation monitoring, and IV management
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-oriented acute care environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, attentive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures and support pre- and post-procedure assessment and recovery
  • Monitor procedural sedation, vital signs, and patient response throughout the visit
  • Assist with IV access, medication administration, and management of dysrhythmias as needed
  • Support radiation safety, sterile technique, and procedural room readiness
  • Collaborate with radiology, physicians, and interdisciplinary support teams to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Document accurately in Epic and maintain timely, professional communication with the care team
  • Deliver compassionate care while maintaining focus on patient comfort, safety, and efficiency
