- Location: Remote (U.S.) — telecommute, equipment not provided; VPN access required
- Employment Type: Short-term contract / remote Epic analyst role
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Shift Duration: 8 hours (any shift)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,550
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 4 years experience designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Epic applications, with a focus on Epic Hospital Billing (HB)
- Epic Hospital Billing Claims & Remittance (HB Claims & Remit) certification required
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- Strong experience with revenue cycle management (RCM), claim edits, remittance code routing, and claims processing
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with clinical, billing, and technical teams
- Ability to start immediately and work independently in a remote setting; must have reliable internet and secure VPN access
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve support tickets and manage claim edit work queues to ensure accurate hospital billing
- Process adjustments on claims, handle remittance code routing, and perform claim-level troubleshooting
- Design, configure, test, and implement changes to Epic HB workflows and system applications
- Lead operational work groups to gather and analyze requirements for new billing and claims requests
- Mentor and support other analysts on workflow design, claim logic, and Epic HB configuration
- Perform and support application upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and validate user access security for Epic systems
- Develop and maintain system documentation, build end-user training materials, and support knowledge transfer
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support as needed for critical billing incidents
