Job Details

- Setting: High-risk Labor & Delivery unit
- Location: Abington, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 3x12s; self-scheduling
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070-$2,180
- Weekend Requirement: At least 8 weekend shifts per contract; every 3rd weekend
- On Call: None
- Floating: No floating required
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 8 hours
- Scrubs: Provided
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- BSN required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner required
- Experience with high-risk obstetrics, fetal monitoring, and obstetric triage preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced L&D unit
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and obstetric patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
- Support triage and care for high-risk obstetric patients
- Perform and assist with procedures such as IV starts, medication administration, and emergency response
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in a busy Labor & Delivery environment
