Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Litchfield, Illinois
Join a collaborative Labor & Delivery nursing team as a travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Litchfield, Illinois. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to provide compassionate care throughout the full perinatal experience in an LDRP setting, including antenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Litchfield is a welcoming central Illinois community with convenient access to outdoor recreation, local amenities, and nearby Springfield.
Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week; approximately 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, including every other weekend
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, through February 13, 2027
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Current fetal monitoring education
- Current education or demonstrated competency in obstetric emergencies, including obstetric hemorrhage, preeclampsia, and shoulder dystocia
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced LDRP environment
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during the antenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Care for newborns as part of an integrated LDRP care model
- Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and interpret fetal monitoring data
- Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, preeclampsia, and shoulder dystocia
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and the broader care team
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
