Registered Nurse (RN) - LTAC Travel Nurse | Alexandria, VA (13-week Contract)

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Virginia licensure or multistate compact RN license preferred.
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS Certification required prior to first shift
- Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience as an RN
- Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, or similar acute care/rehabilitation settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission (LTAC RN assessment)
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and initiate discharge planning from admission
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and patient safety
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols and promote patient and staff safety
- Contribute to team building and maintain a supportive LTAC nursing environment
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
