Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift
- Strong assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced LTAC environment
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs
- Provide timely, accurate documentation in the medical record
- Participate in weekly team conferences and communicate patient progress
- Support rehabilitation goals through direct, compassionate patient care
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from admission
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other ancillary staff as appropriate
- Promote patient, staff, and environmental safety at all times
- Contribute to a positive, efficient unit culture through teamwork and professionalism
