- Additional Notes: Floating to units within competency may be required; Epic EMR experience is used in this environment
Job Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- IV certification required as part of the license/unit requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of LTAC experience required
- Ventilator experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- ACLS preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred, but strong first-time travelers may be considered
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and float within competency
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and dependable attendance
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for geriatric, long-term care, short-term post-acute, and rehab patients
- Support patients with ventilator and tracheostomy needs in a long-term care environment
- Monitor patient condition, document care accurately, and communicate changes promptly
- Administer treatments and perform nursing interventions within scope and competency
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Float to appropriate units as needed based on competency and facility needs
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols, documentation standards, and assigned scheduling requirements
