Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care Travel Assignment | Falmouth, MA (Cape Cod)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — 13-week long-term care travel assignment in Falmouth, MA (Cape Cod). Evening shift travel LPN opportunity; active Massachusetts LPN license required. Join a caring healthcare team delivering quality resident care in a scenic coastal community.

Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $1,970
  • Location: Falmouth, MA (02540) — Cape Cod living, close to beaches, parks, and local attractions
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift: Primarily Evenings (3pm–11pm), with some Days (7am–3pm); every other weekend and holiday required — ideal for experienced evening shift LPNs
  • Employment Type: Travel (LPN travel job / long-term care nursing assignment)

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or similar clinical setting
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license (MA LPN)
  • BLS/CPR and AED Program Certification (current)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; experience supervising nursing assistants/CNAs preferred
  • Ability to perform medication administration, basic wound care, catheter and colostomy care, tube feedings, and routine clinical procedures
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and meet all physical and sensory requirements for clinical nursing

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care and clinical nursing services consistent with long-term care nursing standards
  • Administer medications as ordered by physicians and follow facility medication administration policies
  • Supervise and direct nursing assistants/CNAs according to facility regulations and scope of practice
  • Perform professional services including catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, dressing changes, and colostomy care
  • Collect samples for testing and perform routine laboratory tests as required
  • Take and accurately document vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical observations (TPR, BP, etc.)
  • Complete and maintain resident records and charting (including EMR/chart forms) on admission, transfer, or discharge
  • Participate in resident and family orientation; provide education and healthcare instruction to residents and families
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and uphold residents' rights and dignity
  • Contribute to a positive, compassionate, and respectful environment that reflects the facility's commitment to quality long-term care
