Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements

  • License: Active LPN license (state requirements apply; New Mexico LPN license preferred)
  • Experience: 1+ year as an LPN preferred (Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing experience strongly valued)
  • Clinical Skills: Medication administration, treatments, vital signs, patient monitoring, and accurate nursing documentation
  • Core Competencies: Strong clinical judgment, time management, teamwork, and communication
  • Professional Traits: Reliable attendance, compassionate bedside manner, and commitment to resident dignity

Travel LPN Responsibilities (LTC/SNF)

  • Provide direct nursing care to LTC residents under the direction of an RN and/or provider
  • Administer medications and treatments per orders and facility protocols
  • Monitor resident status, recognize changes in condition, and report/escalate appropriately
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and on time in the medical record
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized care plans
  • Support resident and family communication with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain infection prevention, safety, and quality standards in daily practice
