Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the United States; ability to obtain state authorization if required for New Mexico
  • Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing facility, or similar LTC setting preferred
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently as a travel nurse
  • Experience with medication administration, wound care, and resident-centered care is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility or nursing home
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following facility policies and state regulations
  • Monitor, assess, and document residents’ conditions; report changes to RNs, physicians, and the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive LTC care
  • Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records and facility charts
