Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the United States; ability to obtain state authorization if required for New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing facility, or similar LTC setting preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently as a travel nurse
- Experience with medication administration, wound care, and resident-centered care is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility or nursing home
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following facility policies and state regulations
- Monitor, assess, and document residents’ conditions; report changes to RNs, physicians, and the healthcare team
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive LTC care
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records and facility charts
