Job Details

• Location: Waterloo, NY 13165 — Waterloo, Finger Lakes, New York LPN jobs
• Setting: Long Term Care Facility / Skilled Nursing
• Employment Type: Travel LPN, Full Time
• Shifts: Days and/or Evenings as scheduled (5 x 8-hour shifts per week)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1560–$1640/week
• Start Date: March 31, 2026
• End Date: July 11, 2026
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Orientation: Must be able to start on a Tuesday or Thursday for full-shift orientation
• Number of Openings: 5 LPN positions

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active NY LPN licensure required (Licensed Practical Nurse)
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience; long term care (LTC) or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Experience providing care to adult and geriatric residents, including medication administration and basic wound care
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced nursing environment and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care to assigned residents under RN supervision (long-term care LPN duties)
• Assess resident condition, collect clinical data, and report findings to the RN and interdisciplinary team
• Contribute to development and revision of individualized care plans for adult and geriatric residents
• Administer medications and treatments safely per facility policy and NY regulations
• Participate in mentoring and orientation of new nursing staff and assist with staff training
• Maintain nursing competency through continuing education and in-service programs
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment and ensure resident satisfaction and dignity
• Follow facility policies and procedures with attention to resident safety, quality, and cost-effective care
• Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and strong patient advocacy in the practice setting
