- Float Requirement: Yes, within competency
- Scheduling: Based on facility need; no block scheduling or self-scheduling
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of LTAC experience required
- Minimum 2 years of wound care experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Prior travel nurse experience preferred; strong first-time travelers may be considered
- Ability to float to units within competency
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care environment
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills and willingness to complete pre-assignment testing
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to geriatric, short-term, post-acute, and LTC patients
- Perform wound care treatments and monitor healing progress
- Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and facility protocols
- Assess patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
- Document care accurately using the facility EMR
- Maintain flexibility to support unit needs and float as required
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient comfort and outcomes
