Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care (LTC) Job in Baldwyn, Mississippi

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of LTAC or long-term care nursing experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a high-acuity long-term care environment
  • Flexibility to float within competency and adapt to changing patient care needs
  • Availability for required orientation and compliance timelines before the start date
  • Ability to successfully complete a rhythm strip assessment as part of the onboarding process

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to long-term care and post-acute patients
  • Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate updates to the care team
  • Administer medications and treatments according to orders and care plans
  • Support patients with complex needs, including trach care and geriatric care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote safe, compassionate patient outcomes
  • Adapt to patient assignments and float when needed within scope and competency
  • Deliver reliable, patient-centered care in a fast-paced long-term care setting
