Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care (LTC) travel nursing job in Augusta, Maine: 13-week contract, 12-hour night shifts, BLS required. Join our skilled nursing (SNF) team and make a meaningful impact on resident care.

- Location: Augusta, ME 04330 (Augusta, Maine / Kennebec County)
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) — Long Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Acute Rehab, Residential Care Unit (Assisted Living)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 19, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend required — night shift RN, 12-hour nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Floating: Required across LTC, SNF, Acute Rehab, and Assisted Living units
Qualifications — LTC / SNF Nurse Requirements
- Active RN license (willing to wait for Maine RN license if needed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in long term care, skilled nursing, or acute rehab
- Experience with PICC lines, G-tubes, and wound vacs preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required (per Maine state mandate)
- Ability to wear N95 masks as needed; adherence to infection control protocols
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Facility uniform policy: lime green and black scrubs (with some green visible)
Responsibilities — Clinical & Administrative
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, post-surgical needs, and geriatric conditions
- Perform admissions, discharges, medication administration, treatments, and wound care
- Manage IV/PICC care, enteral feeding (G-tubes), and wound vac management as applicable
- Accurate EMR charting using My Unity and Allscripts — clinical documentation and medication administration records (MAR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: PT/OT/SLP, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
- Participate in unit-specific orientation, ongoing training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Float to other units as needed while maintaining patient safety and continuity of care
- Adhere to facility infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
