Job Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Nursing Assistant Certification required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- At least 1 year of inpatient acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Strong bedside care skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively on a busy Med/Surg unit in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and basic hygienic support, including bathing, oral care, and skin care
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, feeding, and transfers
- Take and record vital signs, height, weight, intake, and output as directed
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests
- Support admission, discharge, and transfer processes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment
- Perform bedside glucose testing and other trained clinical tasks
- Document care provided and communicate patient observations to the care team
- Assist with unit support tasks such as specimen delivery, stocking, and errands as needed
