Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Quincy, California
Join a collaborative nursing team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Quincy, California. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers medical-surgical, pediatric Med/Surg, and telemetry experience in a scenic Sierra Nevada community with year-round outdoor recreation.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Quincy, California
- Healthcare Setting: On-site adult Med/Surg, pediatric Med/Surg, and telemetry care
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580–$2,720
- Start Date: September 25, 2026
- End Date: December 25, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13-week travel nurse contract
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Position Availability: One opening
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience, preferably in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and pediatric medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Apply the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret diagnostic results, and recognize changes requiring clinical intervention
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education related to treatment plans, medications, procedures, and ongoing care needs
- Incorporate each patient’s age, condition, culture, and individual needs into nursing care delivery
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and positive patient outcomes
