Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Zanesville, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
- Location: Zanesville, Ohio
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- End Date: February 15, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: No call requirement
- Work Setting: On-site adult medical-surgical units
- The assignment may be subject to up to 36 hours of cancellation during the 13-week contract.
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- At least 3 years of current or recent telemetry and/or stepdown nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac telemetry; competency will be assessed during the first day
- Current Epic EMR proficiency; candidates must be able to work independently in Epic without refresher training or one-on-one assistance
- Strong adult medical-surgical assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to float between designated medical-surgical units as needed
Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients during 12-hour night shifts
- Care for patients with respiratory, wound care, stroke, oncology, cardiac, observation, and other medical-surgical needs
- Monitor patients, interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Complete patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Float between appropriate units while maintaining safe, organized, and patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic medical record
- Support a safe, compassionate environment for patients and families throughout the travel assignment
