Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Zanesville, Ohio

Join a collaborative adult medical-surgical nursing team in Zanesville, Ohio, for a 13-week travel nursing assignment with competitive weekly pay, telemetry experience, and no call requirement. Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
  • Location: Zanesville, Ohio
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: November 16, 2026
  • End Date: February 15, 2027
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
  • Call: No call requirement

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • At least 3 years of current or recent telemetry and/or stepdown nursing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry; competency validation is required at the start of the assignment
  • Current, independent proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record system
  • At least 1 year of professional nursing experience is required; medical-surgical and telemetry experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to float between adult medical-surgical units as patient care needs require

Travel RN Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, with primary coverage focused on respiratory care
  • Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate clinical outcomes
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry, promptly identifying and reporting changes in patient status
  • Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards
  • Care for patients across a variety of populations, including wound care, stroke, oncology, cardiac, observation, and emergency department/medical-surgical overflow
  • Float between appropriate medical-surgical units when needed to support continuity of care
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to promote safe, high-quality care
