Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: Day shift, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: No call requirement
- Documentation: Epic EMR
Travel Med/Surg RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
- At least 3 years of current or recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and monitor telemetry rhythms; telemetry competency will be assessed during orientation
- Current, independent proficiency with the Epic EMR; refresher training or one-to-one EMR training is not available
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, patient assessment, and time-management skills
- Willingness to float to a variety of medical-surgical and observation units as needed
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical, orthopedic, and neurologic patients
- Monitor patients with telemetry needs and promptly identify and communicate changes in cardiac rhythm or clinical condition
- Complete focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care
- Collaborate with providers, ancillary services, patients, and families to coordinate care and support safe transitions
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in Epic
- Adapt quickly while floating among Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and other Med/Surg units
- Support a positive patient experience through compassionate, evidence-based nursing practice
