Job Requirements (Med/Surg RN / Travel Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment OR 4 years Med/Surg RN experience without travel
- Active RN license (Georgia RN license or compact state RN license accepted)
- BLS Certification (AHA preferred)
- NIHSS Certification required
- ASLS Certification preferred
- Ability to float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and other units as needed
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (electronic medical record experience)
- Must comply with strict 75-mile radius rule
Responsibilities – Med/Surg Registered Nurse
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients in the Med/Surg unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform clinical interventions per policy
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech EMR and ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, CNAs, OB techs, and ancillary staff
- Float to other units (Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care) when required
- Participate in every other weekend schedule and rotate holiday shifts with permanent staff; adapt to changing assignments during shifts
- Support a positive patient experience and contribute to unit-based quality improvement efforts
