• Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Albany, Georgia travel nurse opportunity)
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 9/7/2026)
• Setting: Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit (44 beds) — medical-surgical nursing, acute care nurse role
• Shifts: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Travel Contract Type: W2 (travel nursing contract)
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue

Required Qualifications — Medical-Surgical RN / Travel RN

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience (Med/Surg RN, acute care experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. or compact RN license as applicable
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (Meditech experience is a plus for this travel nursing job)
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (per travel policy)

Key Responsibilities — Medical-Surgical Nursing Duties

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population on a busy Med/Surg unit
• Manage patient ratios typically 1:5, occasionally 1:6 (medical-surgical patient assignments)
• Collaborate with nurse aides and the interdisciplinary healthcare team for coordinated care
• Float as needed to other acute care and cardiac units, or Emergency Care (EC) for patient holds
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in Meditech EMR
• Complete general and unit-specific orientation (1 week general orientation, 2 days floor-specific)
• Adhere to hospital policies including weekend and holiday coverage as needed
