Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical | Centerville, Iowa | 13-Week Assignment
Join a Medical-Surgical nursing team in Centerville, Iowa, for a 13-week travel RN assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population on a weekend day schedule while enjoying the welcoming small-town setting of southern Iowa.
Travel RN Job Details
- Assignment: 13 weeks, September 20 through December 19, 2026
- Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical unit
- Schedule: Day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; weekend package every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Location: Centerville, Iowa
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience; Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Iowa
- Ability to complete required onboarding, credential verification, and unit competency processes
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess Medical-Surgical patients, monitor changes in condition, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
- Develop and update individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and the care team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders and established protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, nursing interventions, and responses to care
- Educate patients and families about care plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary colleagues to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
