Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience
• Experience in Med/Surg or rehabilitation settings preferred (medical-surgical nursing, rehab nursing)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission for medical-surgical and rehabilitation patients
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching beginning at admission to support safe transitions of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital guidelines, infection prevention, and safety protocols
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and seek consultation as needed
• Participate in team-building activities and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation (charge RN duties)
• Engage in professional development and continuing education to maintain clinical competence
