• Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (On-Site) – West Tennessee travel nursing job

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

• License: Active RN license in good standing (state-specific requirements apply)
• Experience: 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Clinical Background: Critical care experience required
• Certifications: BLS required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift
• Skills: Strong assessment, prioritization, patient education, and interdisciplinary communication; comfort managing high-acuity, medically complex patients
• Documentation: Accurate, timely clinical documentation per policy and standards of care

LTAC RN Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within required timeframes (including within 8 hours of admission) and develop individualized plans of care
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) with a focus on patient/family education
• Provide timely patient updates for initial and weekly interdisciplinary team conferences
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Initiate discharge planning from day of admission and provide teaching to support safe transitions of care
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team (including provider and charge nurse) to support continuity and safety
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction/supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees
• Promote a culture of safety, including safe patient handling, infection prevention, and fall prevention practices
• Support unit operations by identifying supply/equipment needs and contributing to a calm, efficient work environment
• Assume charge responsibilities following orientation as requested
