- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 3 shifts/week; includes weekend & holiday rotation
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Charting System: EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)
- Scrub Color: Any color
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or proof of application in process (Illinois nursing jobs requirement)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Surgical Acute care (medical-surgical RN experience)
- Strong post-operative care skills, IV therapy, wound care, and critical thinking
- Excellent bedside manner and effective teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary clinical environment
- Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients as a Travel Nurse and Medical-Surgical RN
- Perform dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, and care for drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN
- Monitor, assess, and document patient progress using EPIC and clinical nursing documentation standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including charge nurses, patient care technicians, respiratory therapists, and physicians
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations and float to similar units as needed based on experience
- Support a safe, patient-centered environment and adhere to hospital policies and infection control protocols
