- Weekend Coverage: Required, with flexible scheduling needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a busy acute care setting
- Comfort working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes with sound clinical judgment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care
- Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients while maintaining excellent care standards
- Provide care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, COPD, post-operative needs, trauma, renal issues, and cardiac concerns
- Support a positive, professional environment while adapting to the needs of a fast-paced unit
